The Hamptons Rooftop

Our rooftop entertaining deck on Level 6 has amazing views of the Melbourne CBD skyline and Port Melbourne beaches.  If using the barbeque, please ensure you clean it thoroughly as a courtesy to the next person. Never leave the barbeque unattended once it has been started.  Dispose of all rubbish responsibly in the bins provided. 

 

The Hamptons Gym

A small gymnasium is located in the basement.  Please wipe down any equipment after use. 

 

 

 

AIRCONDITIONING AND HEATING

 

All apartments have their own individually controlled air conditioning unit allowing you to regulate the apartment temperature for your own comfort. The remote control is located in a remote cradle within the lounge room. Please be conscious of the environment and turn off air conditioning and heating when you are leaving the apartment. To operate, press the START/STOP button. MODE will allow you to choose between AUTO, COOL, DRY, FAN and HEAT. Select the desired temperature by pressing up and down using the SET TEMP. button.  Please avoid turning the air conditioning unit to its highest (32 degrees) and its lowest (17 degrees) temperatures as this may result in the unit overheating and shutting down. BUILDING AND APARTMENT ENTRY

 

The main entrance to The Hamptons Apartments - Port Melbourne is on Nott Street. You will need to use your entry code every time you enter the building. For your security and that of other guests please ensure the door clicks shut after you enter or leave.

 

Using the Goki App For Access

 

Simply download the Goki App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Enter your email and name that is on your reservation, click "Finish," verify your email, and ensure you allow Bluetooth access.  You will see two icons HPM Entrance and your Apartment Number. Depending on the door you'd like to open, select the corresponding icon. The door will typically unlock within 15 seconds, depending on your proximity to the door.

 

If you do not wish to download the Goki App you can use your code directly on the front door and your Apartment door. 

 

Front Door Access with Code - The front door code will be active from 2pm on your day of arrival until 10am on your day of departure.  To enter press the panel until the blue lights show, enter your code and # to open the door.  To release the front door from inside when leaving the property please use the silver button on the left side of the front door. 

 

Apartment Access With Code - Access to your apartment will be by PIN number on your apartment door on the round keypad.  Push the centre to active the lights, enter the code, press the tick to open the door.

 

BUILDING RULES

 

You will have agreed to your Terms and Conditions on the Guest Registration Card or Licence to Occupy.  Please familiarise yourself with all of those terms. 

 

In particular for the comfort of others remember:

  • No Parties (penalty up to $2500)
  • No Smoking (penalty from $350)

 

 


 

CAR PARKING

 

The Hamptons Port Melbourne has limited car parking in car park stackers.  Car parking is subject to availability and all guests must be met on site during business hours for a full car park induction and to sign a car park waiver.  Once you have checked in please contact our office on 9279 7200 or [email protected] to arrange a time for your car park induction and car park access.  Car Park Stacker inductions should be booked 24 hours in advance to ensure staff availability. 

 

There is ample street parking in and around the building but please be aware of time limits.  As an alternative, there is undercover paid car parking at 160 Rouse Street (2 minutes walk away).  

 

CHECK OUT TIME

 

Check out time for The Hamptons Apartments is 10:00AM. Your front door and apartment entry codes will expire at that time. If you wish to extend your stay, please contact our Guest Services Team. All approvals for late check out (charges may apply) and extensions to your stay are subject to availability and must be confirmed in writing by our Guest Services Team.

 

COOKTOP, RANGE HOOD, OVEN

 

To operate the Cooktop select the desired setting by turning the knob for the hot plate you wish to use.

 

To operate the Rangehood pull the rangehood out and towards you. The switches for the light and fan are located at the rear right of the unit. Always use the range-hood exhaust fan when using the cooktop and oven to prevent fire alarm system being activated. Failure to do so may result in the MFB (Melbourne Metropolitan Fire Brigade) attending and additional charges may be incurred. 

 

To operate the Oven turn the temperature dial to the desired temperature and the selector dial to oven or grill, and set the timer for the length of cooking required. If you don’t wish to use a timer please turn the dial to the left which will allow you to cook for any length of time. The oven indicator light should come on when baking or grilling.

DISHWASHER

 

A starter pack of dishwashing tablets/powder is located in the cupboard under the sink in the kitchen. Additional tablets or powder can be purchased from your local supermarket. Please use only powder or tablets specifically marked for dishwasher use in the dishwasher as detergent dishwashing liquids will damage the machine and guests will be liable for any resulting service charges.

 

To operate this dishwasher push in the on/off button and check that the indicator light comes on.  Use the program selection knob to select your desired wash program. Press the start/cancel button to start the selected wash program; the light on the button will light up.

When the cycle is finished the end led indicator will light up.

 

If you need to cancel the wash cycle part way through, press the start/stop button for 3 seconds. The machine will drain the water inside (this takes approximately 45 seconds).  The program cancellation is complete when the washing light goes off.

HOUSEKEEPING

 

If you would like a housekeeping service please contact our Guest Services Team.  Additional charges apply. 

 

Unlike a hotel, your apartment is self contained but we have included all the essentials to get you started such as tissues, toilet roll, bathroom amenities, bin liners, laundry powder, washing up detergent and dishwasher tablets.  You can replenish these from any of the nearby supermarkets or convenience stores.

 

Do not hang any wet laundry over the furniture. Doing so will cause damage to the wood or soft furnishings, for which guests are liable. 

 

 

LIFT 

 

To activate the lift press either the up or down button and select the floor number you wish to go to.  In case of fire evacuation, DO NOT use the lift. 

 

MAIL - INCOMING

 

If you have requested a post box key your mail will be delivered to that post box. Any other mail will be left under your door by one of our staff. Should a larger parcel be delivered we will advise you to collect from our reception desk.

 

When vacating your apartment, remember to redirect your mail to your forwarding address. This can be done online: https://auspost.com.au/receiving/manage-your-mail/redirect-hold-mail

or in person with Australia Post. The closest Australia Post Office is in Bay Street, Port Melbourne.
 

MAINTENANCE PROPERTY CONDITION REPORTING AND ISSUES

 

Your apartment has been inspected by our housekeeping team prior to your arrival.  If you notice any damage upon check in that may have been overlooked, please notify our Guest Services team at [email protected] within the first few days of your stay.  This will help us log the issue and prevent any complications during check out.   

 

If you encounter any maintenance issues in your apartment, please reach out to us at «zEmail» or submit a maintenance request through the online Concierge Portal by clicking the 'Request Help' button in the top right corner. To help us resolve the issue quickly, kindly provide as much detail as possible.

 

Please note for regular maintenance, office hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday.  For emergency maintenance outside of these hours please see below.

 

Emergency Maintenance 

 

Should you require emergency maintenance assistance outside of these hours, please call the office number above and follow the prompts to be connected with our on-call emergency maintenance personnel.  

 

Please note, the following matters are defined as emergencies requiring urgent after-hours assistance:  

• Burst water services; 

• Blocked or broken toilet systems; 

• Serious roof leaks; 

• Gas leaks; 

• Dangerous electrical faults; 

• Flooding or serious flood damage; 

• Serious storm or fire damage; 

• Failure or breakdown of any essential service or appliance for hot water, water, heating or cooling; 

• Failure or breakdown of gas, electricity or water supplies; 

• Any fault or damage that makes the premises unsafe or unlivable.

 

MICROWAVE OVEN

 

No metal utensils, metal plates, oyster shells, tin foil or any other metal object should be placed in the microwave or convection microwave at any time. 

 

NOISE & QUIET ENJOYMENT

 

In consideration of other guests, please ensure that your television, stereo and radio volumes are at a comfortable level so as not to disturb your neighbours.  The Hamptons Apartments has a strict NO PARTY POLICY. Apartments are to be used for quiet residential purposes only.

 

RUBBISH AND RECYCLING 

 

General rubbish bins (red lid) and recycling bins (yellow lid) are provided in the car park which is located through the blue door to the right of the lift well.  Please break down and fold up any cardboard boxes before placing these in the recycling bin. 

 

 

 

SMOKING - All Apartments are Non Smoking

 

All The Hamptons Apartments rooms are non-smoking. Should you or any of your visitors wish to smoke please use the rooftop (level 6) or your balcony and keep the door to the apartment closed to prevent smoke entering the apartment. If you have a balcony an ashtray has been provided for your use. Please dispose of cigarette butts thoughtfully. Do not throw cigarette butts over the balcony. 

 

All apartments are fitted with smoke detectors. Smoking in the apartment will trigger an automatic call to emergency services. Emergency services may charge for their service if alarms are triggered by the occupant or their visitors smoking inside. Any such charges will be payable by the guest.  

 

TELEVISION

 

Your apartment television is programmed to receive a number of free to air channels. Activate your TV by pressing the POWER button on your remote control. Select your channels as desired.  

 

As this is an internet TV please feel free to connect to your favourite streaming services, but do remember to log out on your departure.

 

 

VISITORS TO YOUR APARTMENT

 

The visitor intercom is located outside the main entrance to The Hamptons Apartments. Allow access using the intercom in your apartment.  This will provide your visitor access to the lobby and lift. There is no visitor parking on site, however, on street parking is available in the vicinity of the property.  Please ensure your visitors are aware of parking restrictions as the council is very active with ticketing.

 

WASHER / DRYER / IRONING

 

A starter pack of laundry powder is provided on your washing machine. Additional laundry powder can be purchased at your local supermarket. Please ensure when purchasing additional laundry powder that you only purchase those products marked for FRONT LOADING washing machines. 

 

 

Do not hang any wet laundry over the furniture. Doing so will cause damage to the wood or soft furnishings, for which guests are liable. 

 

Ironing Facilities An iron and ironing board are located in the laundry area/wardrobe of your apartment.  

 

To operate the Washing Machine:

  • Load the washing machine
  • Put in washing liquid or powder ensuring it is for front load machines
  • Select the required water level and water temp
  • Set the desired wash cycle by pressing the buttons on the top of the machine to the desired setting.
  • Press the start button to begin cycle
  • The machine will complete the wash cycle automatically

 

To operate the dryer:

  • Load clothes into dryer and close the door firmly
  • Set the required temperature by turning the dial clockwise
  • Set the desired temperature by turning the dial clockwise
  • To start the dryer press the Door Safety Switch on the door

 

 

Public Transport Access to the Melbourne CBD

 

Tram - The 109 Tram Service operates regularly from the Tram Stop in Beach Street.  Turn left out of the front door of Hamptons Port Melbourne, head down Nott Street towards the beach and turn right on Beach Street.   Follow the beach for about 5 minutes and you will arrive at the tram stop. 

 

Bus - No. 234 Garden City - Queen Victoria Market    Your closest bus stop is on the corner of Nott Street and Graham Street.
